Linked in is right up there with the 'scary invasion of privacy gang'. I deleted my account a long time ago... around the time the home page started to ask me 'what are you working on today?'
A month later I repented and set up a fake account so that I could still access the network, this time however I went out of my way to minimise the information I gave linked-in and definitely didn't give them access to my email address list. I didn't connect to anybody.
This was fine for a year... and then last night I recieved an email...'Dear So&So, We think you might know the following people, would you like to connect with them?' They had a 70% match rate, people I hadn't even spoken to for years.
Big brother is watching you.. and you... and you!
I just had a quick look on the web... it seems there are people who question the model of giving away your privacy and creativity
Linked In and Techpitch.com are Evil
